I noticed none of you schmucks besides Fonzie post anything about music. What gives?

yeah besides crumbles I don't think anyone else believes music actually exists. And yeah I've been trying to convert these jedis to the darkside of drum n bass, but as 98 percent of my posts here bomb its not working...

No I don't listen to that.
However, I did run into some Euro music on my trip to Greece. This song is stuck in my head and it doesn't hurt that there's a hot chick in the video. What do you all think (about the music and/or the video [i.e. hot chick])?

Hell naw man... I'm a rocker through and through. Here's a list of my favorite bands: AC/DC, Van Halen not Van Hagar, Skynyrd, Def Lepp...

"The cheeks are out, sorry I mean the single is out on November 21."
The cheeks...ha.
As far as that kind of music goes, if I was ever taken prisoner of war and someone needed to get government or other secrets out of me, I am pretty sure about 3 minutes of techno, club, house, trance, drum, bass or any other music in that genre would have me singing like a canary. I am not saying that it is bad music or anything like that, it just isn't me. I am more of a jazz, rap from the 80's and 90's, classic rock kind of guy.
I don't know man, theres such a big difference between all those electronic styles.
You say you like jazz? I could show you some nice jazzy drum n bass that you would definately like.
And what about acid jazz and shit? Just because its not live instruments doesn't mean it can't sound good.
And I like classic rock and hip hop and pretty much up to about 2000 rap. A few artists after that but not much as far as rap goes. I used to dig some metal but it got too heavy at one point. Its like everyone wanted the kill your mother sound. I liked pantera which is pretty heavy but I don't like a lot of new metal.
Im just saying don't knock it until you really listen to it.

I have never heard any type of 'jazzy drum n bass'. At least I don't think that I have. I have no idea about 'acid jazz' either. Honestly, I really am not too into music, as I typically am listening to the sports and news coverage of the day on the satellite radio. But there certainly is about any kind of music that you could imagine on there too, so maybe throw a couple of names of bands or dj's or whatever my way and if I notice them, I will check them out. I really am not trying to knock that type of music or anything as it is simply my opinion and just because I think that all of it sounds the same, doesn't mean that it isn't good. But yeah, I love jazz music.
I feel ya about the rap up until about 2000. There is very little hip hop type music that I enjoy from after about that time. Very little. I was real into groups like Wu Tang and Outkast for a while there in the 90's - like early Wu Tang and Outkast - Protect Ya Neck and Hootie Hoo era. But I have really lost interest in music like that and have settled down into a lot of chill-type jazz music.
Was never really into the real hard metal music and stuck to less hardcore things like the Green Day set. Actually when 9/11 happened, I started listening to news radio while I was on the road and then with satellite radio there are so many damn sports shows on that I am pretty much in heaven with them. Since then, I really haven't kept up with any new music except for a handful of groups.
Anyhow, that is really why I don't chat too much about music on here.
Im a pretty big jazz fan also, Ive always been a Miles Davis fan... and he is definitely my favorite jazz artist, But last year and this year I took Music appreciation courses and have got a bunch of other favorites now. John Coltrane, Charles Parker, Thelonious Monk, and Billie Holiday are probably the ones I listen to the most often. Something about that 50's sound is just awesome.

That type of music is great to sit back and enjoy a drive through the countryside while listening to. It has gotten me through many a drive to the middle of nowhere. And Sirius has a radio channel that plays those types of artists almost non-stop. It's great.

I took a "History of Rock and roll" Course that spanned from Black slave songs through all the great jazz artists, delta blues, Sun Records + all dem, motown Chuck berry, through the 60s and 70s up to even the beginning of house through techno, all the 90s artists. It was pretty expansive.
Sounds like just a fuck off course Ya know? History of Rock and roll.
But learning about all those great Jazz and Blues artists as well as a lot more was really interesting.
Oh and give me an hour to get to work danny and Ill show you a nice hour set of chilled out drum n bass that a jazz fan would like. Im just trying to expose the sound that people all lump as techno becasue there are good things out there. All that shit is so not the same.

You know where to find me...I am not sure I will be able to handle an hour of it though but I will be happy to check it out.
And when my wife bought her new car, she had XM in it for the trial period, and I did listen to the watercolors channel. I think, they also have a channel that plays a lot of music from the jazz masters. While we are talking about it, I also do listen to the blues channels as well, like Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray, and the like. I think that XM had a channell like that too.
