Ok, I'll thank Bill for the years he actually had us in the BLACK instead of the years Bush has put us in the RED.

Every economist will tell you that the current president's economic state is determined by the PREVIOUS administration. Mr. Clinton's "Black" was given to him by Bush 1.

So you're saying that for the two terms that Clinton was in office, he can thank Bush 1 for them? Eight years worth of federal spending?

That seems to be quite a stretch to me. Damn you George Washington for putting us in our current state!

It depends on what angle you are approaching?

1. Schwarzenegger is a Republican, yet I am in this thread blasting Republicans?

or

2. Schwarzenegger is from Austria and my title says "Muscles from Brussels" which is the nickname for Jean Claude Van Damme?

First one.

See at the time of that picture he was not the Republican "Governator" that he is today. That was back when he was just into working out and boning chicks.

But God Bless America for electing him into our government. Those Californians have it right!

His logic is "Those of you voting for Kerry are wrong".... that doesn't seem like a lot of thought out logic to me. Sounds like mommy and daddy told him to vote Republican, so he is agreeing.

That's like me saying your choice of eating a ham sandwich yesterday was wrong. No, it's not wrong, it is your choice. I may not agree with it, but I understand that it is not my choice to make, it is yours.

I think what he means by that is a lot of people see......some REALLY dumb things that Kerry is for, therefore people that support Kerry, also support dumb things, and thus, must be dumb.

I'm NOT calling anyone dumb, I'm just saying I think that's where that was going.

His exact words were: "and to those of you who are voting for Kerry...you are wrong."

And you are trying to get all in depth about what he was "trying" to say. I was basically saying that I don't see it. His comments were moronic and I called him on it. He was trying to call people stupid for their own personal choices.

How about this. There are 3 of you standing on the sidewalk. The first one walks into the street and gets shot. The second one walks out into the street and gets shot. So if you then made a personal choice from what you saw/heard to walk out into the street as well, I'd say that would make that person pretty stupid right?

That is the worst analogy I have ever heard. You/Dave are trying to say that people voting for Kerry are stupid and have no logic behind them. Yet when I say that Dave is stupid for voting for Bush, then everyone gets all defensive and says "We have logic!".

Guys, seriously. I was referencing "The Greatest Page in the Universe" by a guy named maddox. (www.xmission.com/~maddox). The first line of text on his page reads:

This page is about me and why everything I like is great. If you disagree with anything you find on this page, you are wrong.

That's all it was is a joke. Plain an simple. To me, if you feel one way or another about anything in this election, you need to VOTE. Vote for anyone, vote Democrat, vote Republican, vote Libertarian, vote Satan worshiper. It doesn't matter to me, as long as you vote who you want to win.

What is WRONG are these damn pussy non-Americans who have what so few others in this world have, the RIGHT TO CHOOSE YOUR LEADERS. These sissy marys don't bother to vote then go trashing the President for this and that, and that makes me mad. To me, you only have the right to bitch if you leveraged your right to have a voice.

I happen to be a republican, not because my parents told me to vote or whatever theories anyone has, but by my own choice. I don't particularly care for the democratic view on things, and I may jokingly make fun of it, but respect everyone's right to choose. Don't read into me that heavily, especially not in a web forum. You'll hardly ever see me be serious about anything here, abeit something as heavy as polics.

What really bothers me here is that some have chosen to make what was a political discussion a personal one. Referring to me as someone who lives in a basement, spoon fed, parents blah blah blah is making a political discussion a personal one. Nobody deserves to be blasted personally based on politcal views. I certainly hope those who do so are kidding. I refuse to dignify messages of this type with a retort in kind.

Calling someone's politcal views wrong is one thing. Blasting them in a personal and frankly unrelated manner is another.

In the future I will try to remember you have a sarcastic nature like myself, and keep my comments in a good natured humor.

I appreciate that. It's no big deal. There aren't very many people aren't here that aren't passionate about this election. This one means a lot with everything that went on. It's just as easy for me to get upset about it as anyone else. It's easy to write something in a forum and not have the sarcasm or joking attiude come through in ...well...literally black and white.

Speaking frankly polically, I really have no idea who is going to win it. I laugh at all the charts and graphst that people use. What's interesting is that only a small part of the population will decide this election. Think about it... you know who are going to vote for..I know who I am going to vote for. It's the undecided ones that count..and so far, I haven't actually met anyone who didn't already know that was planning to vote. In an election this close, it's those few..maybe less than 10-15% of the voters...who actually "ELECT" the next Prez.

To me, it doesn't matter. The ones that are undecided will remain so up until they get in front of a machine. The charts don't mean shit.
