A few of my friends that were close to him have been crying all day, its pretty rough on all of us, seeing some of my best friends sick to their stomach cuz they are so sad is rough as hell, i wish this day would just end. One of my friends thinks it is his fault and so i am owrried aotu him doing soemthing to himself, this week has been the shittiest week in a good while.

This has really truely been one of the worst times ever. I mean I've known people that have died recently that I wasn't close with but this is very differnt. He was one of the most amzingly great directors I've ever ahd the chance of meeting. He gave me so much insite on what i should do with my films and how to get rid of the clicheness of it all. He was an impact on how I would shoot a film. Aside from that he was a really awesome guy. So many 45 min talks about zombies and movies and boo bas. I sat and talked to the teacher who he waas with 3 periods in the day with when he was in high school and she just broke down. It was really hard to see someone just loose it like that. To see all these people's faces so beat red and puffed up from tears is soo heart wrenching. I just lost it this morning when she started crying and talking about the funny things that had happened lastyear. I will always remeber the advice he told me and in one day I'll be come a director or anything... I'll credit it to his advice.

Sorry to hear about you guys' friend. I have never been able to completely understand the idea of suicide. I can see getting down on myself and being extremely depressed. But to the point that I want to end my life? My brother had an acquaintance in high school that hung himself because his girlfriend broke up with him. That absolutely baffles me. To kill yourself over a girl? Seriously? And in high school too. This kid was like 17.

Anyways, my condolences.

...Anyways, my condolences.
You have my condolences as well.

Was the kid taking any sort of medication or anything? Like anti-depressants? Just curious if you guys have ANY clue why he would have done it. There had to be something going on.

Anyway, I'm truly sorry. I have been lucky enough to not lose a close friend like that. Come to think of it, I haven't even had a close friend die.

That's sort of weird to think about...

Yeah he was a friend of Matt H's and I. We also had a girl at Tech this year shoot herself with a shotgun, that was pretty messed up. I was talking in another forum the other day and the topic of suicide came up, I was quite suprised by how many people had attempted suicide... out of like 10 people who were talking 5 had attempted suicide. It made me wonder how many people i know have attempted suicide. Ive never understood suicide either, I mean i know people do it to escape crazy pain and suffering... but I guess they dont comprehend the fact that they cease to exist when they kill themselves so it doesnt really get any better, not to mention all the pain and suffering you felt, you have now just passed on to your loved ones and friends. I personally feel its kind of a selfish act.

They usually do it because they only see a future they don't want. So if you see the future as only being as bad as you feel at that time, then suicide seems like a choice. My uncle committed suicide. He was very intelligent but had some issues with depression. He was a smoker, and when diagnosed with lung cancer (what my grandfather died from), he didn't see a future brighter than the one he had of fighting cancer and then maybe surviving. I send my condolences.

I understand that, I just believe its a very close minded approach to a temporary problem that you are solving with a permenant solution. And I honestly believe there is no amount of depression that you cant work your way out if you take the dedication you need to kill yourself and focus that dedication on helping yourself instead.

hey thanx guys, yeah it has been rough, but hopefully the new week will make people less sad about all of it, regarding the question on if he took anti depressants, no, he was never into any kinds of drugs really.

He was a nerd, never did any sports, yet everyone loved him. Like someone said at his memorial, he made being a nerd cool.

I feel for ya Vash, before I was out of high school 2 friends of mine took that road.

I grew up pretty rough and lost many friends to quite a few different issues that plague todays youth. Im 22 and have lost more close friends than I can count on both hands in my graduating class.
